Stan's NoTubes rims new for 2013

Stan's NoTubes developed a unique technology for mounting tires on the rim without a camera. She was named BST (Bead Socket Technology). This technology is not the first driven around on the rims of ZTR and 2013 is no exception. All new rim line in 2013 will be made on the BST technology, plus the rim will be stiffer, lighter and stronger.

In 2013, Stan's NoTubes will release four new rims in different versions vilsetov - ZTR Flow EX mountain bike, ZTR Iron Cross for the wide tire in cross-country, new ZTR Alpha 400 for a heavy bike and rim ZTR Alpha 340 disc especially for highways with disc brakes .

ZTR Flow EX: wider and stronger

Stan's NoTubes rarely make their products more difficult, but on the rim of the ZTR Flow EX they deliberately increased the weight for the sake of safety.

Mike Bush, director of Stan `s Sales and Technology said that the rim Flow is usually used for downhill riders, and many trips to the weekend. Nevertheless, the rim was originally conceived by the use of the All-Mountain and light freeride.

Modernizing this No Tubes Rim region significantly increased to cope with heavy loads downhill. Side walls made of 14% thicker and central part of which are attached spokes, thicker by 33%. Internal width of the rim, too, became more of 22.6 mm to 25.5 mm. Now not only bears the rim lock, and welding.

Mike Bush said that the strong rim make the wheel more stable, and the broad interior of the tire is better stabilized. Even with the increased width, rim ZTR Flow EX is easy enough for the downhill, from 490 to 545 grams depending on the diameter and the diameter will be offered by 26in, 650B (27.5in) and 29in.

The new ZTR Flow EX will cost from $ 90 to $ 96, again depending on the diameter. Vilsety on the basis of the rim will be collected on the hubs NoTubes `3.30 Disc, $ 12 * 150 mm for the rear wheel and the spokes DT SuperComp. Weight of 1,800 grams vilseta until 1960 in any of the three dimensions of the price will be $ 545.

ZTR Alpha 400

For road racers a new rim ZTR Alpha 400 was a similar development process as well as Flow Ex. The new triple-channel rim is profiled, as well as a 33% thicker seat mounting spokes than a rim ZTR Alpha 340. ZTR Alpha 400 is a very tough rim on the basis of which you can build a wheel with a strong tension of the spokes. Weight 420 grams of the new rim is 40 grams more than its predecessor.

The rim is worth $ 120 and will be options for 18, 20, 24, 28 or 32 holes. Three models will be produced vilsetov: Pro, Team and Comp at prices ranging from $ 1100 to $ 635. The rear wheel is in the line of Pro going on the principle of 2:1 (16 spokes pulling, 8 on the opposite side). According to Mike Bush, this method allows us to build a strong and lightweight wheels.

ZTR Alpha 340 disc

Following the new model will offer highway vilset NoTubes disc brake Alpha 340 Disc. It is made by Alpha 340 which removed the brake track, and did in this part of the rim a little thinner.

Vilset on this rim will be built with 24 spokes on the front wheel and 28 on the back. Spokes will be used DT SuperComp with a set of two-cross on the sleeve 3.30 Disc 135 mm with an eccentric. Wheelset has claimed weight of 1585 grams and costs $ 650.

ZTR Iron Cross

This rim has an inner diameter of 20 mm wider than the rim is used for highway, but what MTB Rim Stan's NoTubes. The rim is made in the likeness of the model ZTR Alpine 26in, which is known among professionals as one of the best kross-kantri/MTB rims.

NoTubes will offer vilset collected on 3.30 hub-spoke 24 front and 28 spokes DT SuperComp the rear wheels. There will also be on sale at the price of the rim alone $ 88 weighing 385 grams, but only in the version of the 32 spokes. The company explains this fact so that he can not control the quality of the wheel assembly workshops on such third-party light rim.

Vilset on rims ZTR Iron Cross has claimed weight of 1520 grams, will be priced at $ 550. It will be very tempting to use these wheels on road bikes, but NoTubes does not recommend it.
